Homemade Achiote Oil

Ingredients

• ½ cup olive oil
• 1 tablespoon achiote (annatto) seeds (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Directions

• In a small pot, heat olive oil and annatto seeds on medium heat. Cook until seeds start to sizzle. Be careful not to overheat or the seeds will turn black and oil will turn green.
• Once the seeds are sizzling, remove pot from heat and let stand until sizzling stops.
• Strain mixture into glass jar and let cool.
