  • Meat

    • 1 1/2 tsp Meat masala, homemade
    • 3 lb Pork shoulder, roast

    • 1 tbsp Honey, organic raw
    • 1 15oz can Tomato sauce, organic
  • Baking & Spices

    • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
    • 1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 1 Salt and pepper
    • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • Dairy

    • 2 tbsp Grassfed organic ghee
  • Liquids

    • 1/2 cup Water

Ingredients

  • 3lb Pork shoulder roast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tbs Grassfed Organic Ghee
  • 1 Red Onion, diced (~2 cups)
  • 1 ½ in Ginger, minced
  • 7-8 large Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2 tbs Coriander Powder
  • 1½ tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1½ tsp Homemade Meat Masala
  • 1 15oz can Organic Tomato Sauce
  • 1-2 tbs Organic Raw Honey
  • ½ cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Rinse meat - then dry it with a paper towel.
  • Put the pork in the crock pot and season both sides with salt, pepper and turmeric - let it sit while you prepare the sauce.
  • Heat 2 tbs ghee in a pan and add red onions. Once the onions turn brown (realllly brown), add ginger, garlic, and the spices. Stir for a few minutes.
  • Add the can of tomato sauce. Stir for about 5 minutes and then stir in the honey.
  • Add ½ cup water to the sauce and then dump the sauce on top of the pork in the crockpot.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours (or low for 6-8 hours).
