Kentucky Derby Mint Julep

  • 5 mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • crushed ice

Ingredients

• 5 mint leaves
• 1 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 2 oz bourbon
• crushed ice
• mint sprig

Directions

• Clap the mint leaves between your hands to release the oils, rub the inside of the glass with them, place them in the bottom of the glass.
• Fill glass with crushed ice.
• Add in simple syrup, bourbon and fill the glass with ice until it mounds over the top.
• Garnish with mint sprig.
