This looks soooo delicious Sean! My son loves Kimchi, he said it’s his favourite vegetable! He adds it to almost everything, especially rice. The runny egg on top is just perfect! Can’t wait for your homemade Kimchi! Thanks for sharing! I am definitely making this !
Ever since a trip to Korea (20 years ago) I have loved Kimchi, and I’m so happy that it’s become easier to find. I’ve never made my own, but it’s in my plan, too! Your rice looks delicious.
Hi Sean, Nicoletta and I tried a new restaurant in Edmonton called Nongbu. It just so happened we had the Kim chi rice, and also with the egg on top. I absolutely loved it. The spice, that acidic pungent back drop, and the heat. The egg added that velvety gold touch which just enhanced the mix. So glad you posted this recipe, being a huge fan of Asian cuisine, will have me trying your recipe for sure. The only thing is the Asian people in line wondering why I am chuckling , not knowing I probably know what there are thinking. White guy trying to make kimchi! Lol.
I love Kimchi and don’t eat it often enough — here’s my motivation to integrate more kimchi into my diet in the new year! I’ve just pinned the recipe and can’t wait to try it — I love how simple and flavourful this rice looks. Thanks for sharing, Sean, and cheers to continued success for Diversivore in 2017.
