Description
There was no call for salt & pepper and it desperately needed both. Otherwise, the meat, barley and potatoes were done well. I doubled the recipe for a larger group. I used 6 shanks for 9 people and had one shank left over, but I had two very large containers of the barley/potato mix left. Id use half of the barley next time.
