Ingredients

• 3 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 cup vegetable shortening
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
• 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
• Sugar sprinkles

Directions

• Using a large mixing bowl you will sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside until needed.
• Prepare your baking sheet or cookie pan by lightly coating it with cooking spray and then set it aside until needed.
• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Using a large mixing bowl and an electric mixer you will cream together the vegetable shortening and sugar until well blended. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well after each. Stir in the almond flavoring and vanilla flavoring.
• Gradually stir in the dry ingredients and mix well to combine. Drop by the tablespoonful onto the prepared baking sheet or cookie pan. Place in preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar sprinkles. Allow the cookies to cool completely or serve warm from the oven.
