One Pot Creamy Bacon and Peas Pasta

Ingredients

• 6 slices Smithfield Hometown Original Bacon, chopped
• 1 clove Garlic
• ½ c Onion, diced
• 1 c Mushrooms
• 8 oz. Pasta
• 2 c Chicken stock
• 1 c Milk
• 1 c Peas, frozen
• 1 oz. Cream cheese
• ¼c Sour cream
• ¼ c Parmesan, shredded
• Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

• In a large pan fry Smithfield Hometown Original Bacon over medium high heat until it is crisp.
• Set the bacon to the side and remove all but two tablespoons of bacon grease.
• Add mushrooms and onions to the pan and cook until they begin to soften. Add garlic and continue to cook for 2 minutes.
• Add the chicken stock, milk, and pasta to the pan and bring to a boil cooking for 7-10 minutes or until pasta is al dente.
• Add the peas to the pasta and gently stir until they have defrosted.
• Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream cheese, sour cream.
• Add the bacon and gently fold it into the pasta.
• Salt and pepper to taste.
• Serve with shredded Parmesan cheese.
