    • 1 cup Marinara sauce

    • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning

Ingredients

  • 3 green bell peppers, seeded and cut in half
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (lowest sugar you can find)
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • shredded low-fat mozzarella for topping

Directions

  • Heat oven to 350F.
  • Brown the ground turkey, add seasonings and stir until cooked. Add marinara sauce and stir to combine.
  • After bell peppers have been seeded and cut in half, place on a cookie sheet or baking pan. Scoop meat mixture into the bell peppers halves.
  • Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or longer if you like softer bell peppers than I do. Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese. Let cool slightly and serve.
