    • 2 cups Mexican chorizo sausage previously, cooked

    • 1/3 cup Green onions, thin
    • 1 tsp Oregano
  • Condiments

    • 3/4 cup Tomato salsa, store bought roasted
  • Baking & Spices

    • 1 All-purpose flour
    • 1/3 cup Cornmeal
    • 1 lb Pizza dough, store-bought
  • Oils & Vinegars

    • 1 Olive oil
  • Dairy

    • 2 cups Chihuahua or mozzarella cheese

Next time you need a snack with Tex Mex flavors, these easy to make chorizo cheese rolls will be a crowd pleaser!

Directions

  • If pizza dough is frozen, follow directions on package to prepare. Spray a 9x13 pan with oil, set aside.
  • On a lightly floured, flat surface, roll out the pizza dough in a rectangle shape, making sure its not any thicker than 1/4 inch.
  • Brush with olive oil. Spread out salsa in an even layer, making sure you leave a 1/2-inch border all the way around.
  • Spread an even layer of cheese, then chorizo and finally onions. Starting on the long side, closest to you, roll into a log shape as tight as you can.
  • Making sure the seam side is down on the flat surface, take a sharp knife and cut 12-14 even slices. Dip one end in cornmeal and place cornmeal side down into greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with extra salsa.
