  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • Sprinkle of white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pound cooked spaghetti
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley

Directions

  • Heat oil in sauce pan until shimmering.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add tomato sauce and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add lemon zest.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in cooked spaghetti.
  • Top with teaspoons of ricotta, as many as you like.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
