A sweet and tangy slow cooker chicken recipe that can be used on salads, pizza, and in sandwiches!

Ingredients

  • 4-5 large chicken breasts
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup water or chicken stock
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Whisk together remaining ingredients, then pour over the chicken. Move the chicken around so it is thoroughly coated.
  • Cook on low for 5 hours or low for 3 hours.
  • Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks.
  • Toss with cooking liquid, as needed (I used all but around ½ cup of mine).
  • Serves: 4 cups
