Stuffed Biscuits and Gravy

  • 1 lb Sausage, spicy

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tbsp Honey

  • 1/3 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

• Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 cans Honey butter flaky biscuits

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 1/2 cups Milk

Ingredients

• 1 pound spicy sausage (I used Jimmy Dean)
• 1-2 cans honey butter flaky biscuits
• 2.5 cups milk
• ⅓ cup flour
• 2 tsp pepper
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 egg
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp honey

Directions

• Preheat oven to 400 degress
• Over medium heat brown sausage in pan, do not drain
• Slowly sprinkle flour on sausage in pan in small batches, mixing as you go
• Pour milk into pan with pepper and salt
• Continuously stir until sausage gravy thickens
• On a parchment lined cookie sheet, spread gravy in thin layer and cool in freezer for 5 minutes
• Remove biscuit dough from can and split each biscuit in half, place on parchment lined sheet
• Roll 1-2 tbsp chilled gravy into ball and place in center of halved biscuit
• Cover with other half of biscuit, pinching edges gently and carefully form into ball
• Brush each ball with egg wash
• Bake stuffed biscuit and gravy for 8-10 minutes until golden brown
• Melt stick of butter and combine with honey and brush over biscuits
