Yakisoba noodles: Japanese street food at home

• Meat

  • 2 Pork, thin steaks

• Produce

  • 1 Aonori seaweed
  • 100 g Cabbage
  • 2 Carrots
  • 4 Spring onions
  • 1 Stir-fry veggies

• Condiments

  • 1 Bonito flakes
  • 1 Yakisoba sauce

• Pasta & Grains

  • 1 Japanese noodles

• Oils & Vinegars

  • 2 tsp Olive oil

Directions

• Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package, then drain and set aside.
• In a large frypan, heat half the olive oil, then add the pork and cook through. Remove from pan and set aside.
• In the same pan (wipe it clean, if necessary) heat the rest of the olive oil, and add the vegetables. Cook for about 5-10 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
• Add the pork and noodles.
• Add 4-6 tablespoons of yakisoba sauce, depending on taste. Stir through and test the noodles to see if the flavor is strong enough, and add more if need be.
• Stir until the sauce is mixed through and all ingredients are heated through.
• Serve, and garnish with bonito fish flakes and aonori seaweed.
