Cornbread Dressing

  • 1 tbsp Poultry seasoning

Ingredients

• 2 c chopped celery
• 2 c chopped onion
• 2 Tbsp sage
• 1 Tbsp poultry seasoning
• 1/2 c butter
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 8 c crumbled cornbread
• 2 qt chicken broth
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp pepper

Directions

• 1Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add celery and onion. Saute 5 minutes or until onion and celery are tender. 2In a large mixing bowl combine crumbled cornbread and broth. Stir in celery, onions, sage, and poultry seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Add eggs and mix well. 3Pour into a large baking dish; cover and bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Remove cover during last 15 minutes of cook time to brown top.
