Ingredients

  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 pounds ____ beef chuck or round in 1 cubes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 small onions, quartered
  • 4 small carrots, cut into 1 pieces
  • 4 small potatoes, halved
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce

Directions

  • Combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in paper bag.
  • Drop in beef a portion at a time
  • Shake until coated
  • Mix well oil in 3 quart casserole
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or more
  • Stir occasionally
  • Add vegetables, water, and tomato sauce
  • Mix well
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes, or until done
