Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats

  • 6 cups Rice krispies cereal

  • 6 drops Food coloring, green
  • 8 oz Milk or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 cup White chocolate chips

  • 2 cups Marshmallows, mini

Ingredients

• 5 Tablespoons butter
• 1 10 oz. package marshmallows
• 6 drops green food coloring
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• Pinch salt
• 6 cups rice krispies cereal
• 2 cups mini marshmallows
• 8 ounces milk or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped and melted
• ¼ cup white chocolate chips, melted

Directions

• Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
• In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the bag of marshmallows and cook, stirring often, until marshmallows are melted. Add the pinch of salt, vanilla, and green food coloring and stir until the color is evenly distributed. Stir in Rice Krispy Treats and mini marshmallows. Stir until krispies are coated and mini marshmallows are just starting to melt.
• Turn the mixture out into the prepared pan. Grease your fingers with cooking spray then press the mixture into an even layer. Allow to cool.
• Place ⅔ of the melted chocolate in a bowl for dipping and the remainder in a piping bag or zip lock baggie with the tip cut out. Fill another piping bag or zip lock baggie with the melted white chocolate.
• Cut the rice krispies into rectangles. Dip one end of the Rice Krispies in the melted chocolate.. Set on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
• Use your piping bag to pipe two large dots of white chocolate for the eyes. Use the piping bag with the dark chocolate to pipe a smaller dot on top of the white chocolate and to make the stitched mouth. Allow the treats to set up for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate dries.
