Ingredients

  • 300 grams of sushi grade tuna
  • 1 avocado, chopped into small pieces
  • ½ cup cucumber, diced small
  • ½ mango, diced small
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of half a lime
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 spring onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chipotle in adobo
  • 2 tbsp. sweet chili sauce
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 tbsp. avocado oil

Directions

  • Make your sauce by adding all ingredients in a bowl. Mix together, and set aside.
  • Take your chopped avocado and cucumber, and mix together with half the amount of cilantro. Season with a little bit of salt, pepper, and lime juice. Set aside.
  • Chop your tuna into small cubes, and add the mango, and remaining cilantro.
  • Mix the sauce into the tuna and mango, adding ½ the amount at a time, leaving over some sauce for plating.
  • To plate, use a spring-form mold, placing a layer of the avocado mixture on the bottom, followed by the tuna mixture on top. Make sure it is packed down. Remove the mold and youre left with a perfect circular tartare!
