  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground tumeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 4 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley
  • 4 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 4 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 medium-sized yellow onion
  • 6 medium garlic cloves
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 2 1-inch cinnamon sticks

  • 4 1/2 cups chicken broth

Directions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Place the cubed bread onto a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the bread has dried out but not browned. While the bread is toasting make the sauce.
