    • 1 lb Italian sausage

    • 64 oz Chicken stock
  • Pasta & Grains

    • 1 20 ounce package Cheese tortellini
  • Baking & Spices

    • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
  • Oils & Vinegars

    • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Other

    • 3 cans (14.5 ounces each hunt's no salt added petite diced tomatoes
    • 1 Hunt's recipe ready "pre-measure 2tbs" paste pouches

A rich and hearty beefy tomato tortellini soup. This soup feeds a crowd and is the ultimate comfort soup. It is the kind of meal you can throw together in under half an hour, and it really sticks with you. No whimpy, watery soup here! Just delicious, tomatoe-y and full of beef and sausage.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsps garlic salt (divided)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 Tbs minced garlic
  • 1 Hunts Recipe Ready Pre-measure 2TBS Paste Pouches
  • 3 cans (14.5 ounces each) Hunts No Salt Added Petite Diced tomatoes
  • 20 ounce package cheese tortellini
  • 64 ounces chicken stock
  • 1 Tbs dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Directions

  • Over medium-high heat, in a large soup pot, brown ground beef and sausage together with 1/2 tsp garlic salt to season.
  • Once browned, strain and set aside.
  • Add 1 Tbs olive oil to the bottom of the pan, and saute diced onion and minced garlic until onion is fragrant and starting to brown.
  • Add beef and sausage mixture back into the pot, and add 1 pouch Hunts Recipe Ready Pre-measure 2TBS Paste Pouches, stir well.
  • Add in chicken stock, petite diced tomatoes, the rest of the garlic salt, parsley and thyme.
  • Bring to a slow boil.
  • Add tortellini, and let boil 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with addition parsley if desired, and serve.
