Description

Steak-stuffed peppers are simple and succulent when combined with the flavors of caramelized onion and mushrooms.

This recipe was so good, and good for you! Crisp green pepper, mmmm. Easy to make too, on the table in under 30 min!

My husband who is not a huge cheese fan even loved these and asked me to make them again in the future :)

What a great and easy recipe!! Family loved it and will be making it again, for sure. Trying it over rice the next go around :)

I love this recipe! Its so easy and delicious. I was nervous about the "mushroom" in the product, but the flavor was great. The pepper cups make wonderful leftovers for lunch. My kids really liked the recipe too. Weve also just eaten the steak mixture over a rice which is really yummy!

loved it no sides needed. even my kids likes it and they are pretty picky

I didnt think my husband would like it without the bread but it was a hit.

We love Philly cheese steak sandwiches and this "twist" was divine! I will admit, I added some cream cheese to the filling because we love stuffed peppers with cream cheese and ground sausage. This will be a new favorite!

This recipes was delicious, fast, and easy! Prepared baked and eaten in less than 60 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1½ pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1½ tablespoons Onion Onion™ Seasoning
  • 1 packet Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Warm Dip Mix
  • 4 large red, yellow and/or green bell peppers
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Directions

  • Preheat oven too 400°F. In large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add steak and Onion Onion™ Seasoning. Sauté until steak is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Warm Dip Mix; stir well. Meanwhile, cut peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and ribs. Place cut-side-up on a greased foil-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with half the cheese, fill with meat mixture and top with remaining cheese. Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned. Salt and pepper as desired. Makes 6 servings. Variation: If desired, serve meat mixture over rice or in buns instead of stuffing into peppers. Make ahead & freeze: Combine first 3 ingredients in a quart freezer bag. Place cheese in a quart freezer bag. Place both bags and unopened Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Warm Dip Mix in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Thaw completely. Continue with step 1.
