Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 6 garlic cloves, minced or finely sliced
• ¼ cup finely diced white onions
• 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
• 2 teaspoons fresh basil
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• ½ teaspoon sea salt

Directions

• Place the oil and garlic in a warm pan and cook for 1 minute on medium heat stirring a lot to keep the garlic from burning.
• Add the onions and saute for 5 minutes.
• Place the crushed tomatoes, basil, pepper, crushed red pepper flake, and salt and stir until combined. Simmer over medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
• Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
