Simple Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread

  • 1 Egg

• Baking & Spices

  • 1 very thin cup Enough buttermilk to make batter
  • 1 cup Self-rising cornmeal, white

Directions

• Oil a cast iron skillet and place it in the oven as oven preheats to 450°F. 
• Mix all ingredients together to make the batter. Pour batter into hot skillet. 
• Bake for 20 minutes or until nicely browned.
