Steakhouse Burgers

  • 1 1/2 lbs Ground beef
  • 1 Season patties with salt

• Produce

  • 1 Lettuce
  • 1 Red onion

• Condiments

  • 1 Chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1/8 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup

• Baking & Spices

  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal

• Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 Vegetable oil

• Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 Hamburger buns

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
• season patties with salt, pepper and garlic salt
• 1/2 cup ketchup
• 1/8 cup Dijon mustard
• 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, chopped
• 1 red onion, thinly sliced
• 1/2 cup cornmeal
• vegetable oil
• lettuce, sliced dill pickles, Monterey Jack cheese, sliced tomatoes
• hamburger buns

Directions

• Form ground beef into patties; season with salt, pepper and garlic salt.
• Grill until desired doneness.
• In a small bowl stir together the ketchup, mustard and pepper.
• Refrigerate until ready to use.
• Heat oil until about 320 degrees.
• Roll onion slices in the cornmeal.
• Fry in small portions until golden brown; lay on a paper towel to drain.
• Continue until all the onion slices have been fried.
• Smear on some of the chipotle ketchup to the bun bottom; add lettuce, pickles,burger, bacon, straws and top with bun top. ENJOY!
