Our Pink Lady Margarita is an original and truly in a class by itself…simply the best of the best! So pretty in natural pink hues and made with an irresistible combination of fresh juices from ruby red grapefruit, red apples and red raspberries, sweetened with agave nectar and blended with fine-quality tequila and liqueurs. Even the salt for the rim is pink. Divine!

Ingredients

  • For the “Pink Lady Juice” –Makes about 24 ounces.
  • 1 large ruby red grapefruit, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium to large Honeycrisp or Pink Lady (red) apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 6-ounce (170 grams) package red raspberries, rinsed and dried
  • For the Optional Rim & Cocktail Garnishes
  • Pink sea salt, such as Alaea Red Hawaiian Sea Salt in Medium Grain, crushed
  • Fresh lime wedges, to moisten cocktail glass rims
  • Fresh California Cara Cara (pink navel) oranges, sliced into small wedges
  • Fresh red raspberries, rinsed and dried
  • For the Cocktail
  • Ice for cocktail shaker
  • 2 ounces (¼ cup) tequila, such as Cabo Wabo® Reposado
  • ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) Grand Marnier® Orange Cognac
  • ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) orange liqueur, such as Cointreau®
  • ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lime juice
  • 4 ounces (½ cup) fresh Pink Lady Juice
  • ¼ ounce (1½ teaspoons) agave nectar, optional
  • Ice for cocktail, such as mini cubes, optional

  • Cocktail shaker with strainer

  • Cocktail picks to skewer fruit
  • Mini cube ice cube trays, for mini ice cubes, optional
  • Rimmed shallow plates for rim garnish

Directions

  • Prepare the “Pink Lady Juice”: Using a juicer, process grapefruit first. Then follow with the apples and raspberries. Skim any unwanted foam from the top and discard. Whisk and pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Prepare the Rim Garnish: Place salt into a rimmed shallow plate. Moisten cocktail glass rims by rubbing sliced limes around rim. Immediately, dip rim of glass into plate to coat with salt.
  • Prepare the Cocktail: Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add remaining cocktail ingredients and shake vigorously, about 20 seconds. Strain into chilled cocktail glass and garnish rim as desired with Cara Cara orange wedges and raspberries. If desired, add mini ice cubes to cocktail glass. Serve immediately.
  • Serves: Makes one (1) large cocktail.
