Waldorf Turkey Sandwich

  • 1 1/4 cups Turkey breast, cooked

  • 1 Apple, small
  • 1/4 cup Celery
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
  • 4 Romaine lettuce, leaves

• Condiments

  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise

• Baking & Spices

  • 1/8 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg

• Nuts & Seeds

  • 2 tbsp Walnuts

• Bread & Baked Goods

  • 8 slices Raisin bread

• Dairy

  • 2 tbsp Yogurt, Plain

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups cooked turkey breast (chicken will work in this recipe too)
• 1 small apple, chopped (I used a Gala apple)
• 1/4 cup celery, diced
• 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
• 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped
• 2 tablespoons raisins
• 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
• 4 romaine lettuce leaves
• 8 slices raisin bread

Directions

• In a large bowl mix together the cooked turkey, chopped apple, celery, mayonnaise, yogurt, walnuts, raisins, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
• Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Spoon ¾ cup onto 4 slices of toasted raisin bread. Top with a lettuce leaf and then add the other slice of toasted bread on top.
• The perfect sandwich!
