Making delicious desserts that taste just as good as junk food but that make you also feel good is amazing. These Ferrero Rocher truffles are full of raw cacao, good fats and no sugar. They’re a healthy and indulgent treat with all the flavour and texture of the traditional Ferrero Rocher Truffles without all the processed ingredients and refined sugars. Cacao powder is the purest form of chocolate on planet earth and can be considered a superfood offering a wealth of antioxidants and essential vitamins of Group B and E and minerals (magnesium, calcium, sulfur, zinc, iron, copper, potassium, and manganese), polyphenols called flavonoids with antioxidant properties, essential heart-healthy fat, protein and fiber. These nutrients have been linked to a number of health benefits: lower blood pressure, promote cardiovascular function, neutralize free radicals due to the high levels of antioxidants, improve digestion, enhance physical and mental well-being by stimulating hormones such as endorphins that increase serotonin (this works as a a libido-booster).   Love this? Ingredients

  • 150 grams or 2/3 cup roasted hazelnuts
  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • chopped hazelnuts (to garnish)

Directions

  • 1. Add the hazelnuts into a food processor (keep aside 18 hazelnuts for the center) and blend until chopped into fine pieces. 2. Add cacao, vanilla powder and salt and blend again. 3. Add maple syrup and blend until the ingredients start to stick together, this can take a minute depending on the power of your food processor. 4. Roll into small bite-sized balls, insert at the center one hazelnut, and roll over chopped hazelnuts to cover the balls. 5.Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to harden.
