Ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 egg, beaten
• 2 cups apples, peeled, grated
• 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
• Sprinkle of brown sugar

Directions

• Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Mix together egg, apples, and 1/4 cup nuts; add to the flour mixture. Spread in a greased 8x8-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle brown sugar and remaining walnuts on top; serve.
