Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips, semisweet
  • 1 liter Cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• l cup all purpose flour
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream shortening, sugars, egg, and vanilla till light and fluffy. Stir together dry ingredients;then stir into creamed mixture; blend well. Add chocolate and nuts. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 -10 minutes. Remove from sheet immediately and transfer to cooling rack or waxed paper to cool. Makes 2 dozen small cookies.
